Cortisol is NOT your friend!

Yup, that's the stress hormone.

Yup, most of us have this pumping through are veins ALL THE TIME.


Yup, it is harmful when that is the state of our body.


Stress = Fight or flight mode creates the body to secrete the cortisol hormone into our body to facilitate survival in that moment. Which, hallelujah! Thank you body for being so amazing at protecting our existence.

AND our bodies were never meant to sustain life with long periods of cortisol in our blood.


This is why disease exists. Dis-ease. Lack of ease. Existence of resistance. Creation of inflammation. Unparalleled production of white blood cells to regulate the system OUT OF survival mode. Our bodies failed attempt to heal because our mind has experienced trauma AND is in control.




BUT HOW DO WE STOP OUR MIND FROM DESTROYING OUR BODY?


We be in question. We seek out the trigger. And we acknowledge it. We send it love. We show gratitude for our amazing body and mind for protecting us. And then we REWRITE the story.


Words are powerful. The can release emotion like NOBODYS business. And they TRANSFORM. Oh baby, can they create change... the change we WANT, the change our bodies need, the space for our minds to rest, relax, and heal.


Only when our bodies are in the state of rest can they actually heal themselves. This magnificent organism was created to maintain a state of equilibrium. When we bring our minds back to center, out of story, out of trigger mode, out of trauma, our bodies can create magically WITH us.
